Anthropologist.

Ethnographer.

Robin Steiner is an anthropologist interested by the interpersonal, social, and technological processes underlying economic life. His research has explored the socio-technical work involved in the production of experientially consistent brands in the US craft brewing industry, the role of a traditional public oven in Morocco in the domestic life of a neighborhood, and most recently, how state-guided investments in Oman’s citizen workforce produce a system of distributive rights that relies on the discourses and practices of economic development.
